Bank Impersonation
We are aware of scammers posing as Geelong Bank staff requesting access to personal information.
Scammers can make their calls and messages to appear like they are coming from Geelong Bank. These scammers may claim your account or card has been compromised and they are trying to help you.
How to protect yourself
Geelong Bank will NEVER ask you for your passwords, full card number, PIN or One-Time Password over email or the phone. Never give out this information to anyone.
We encourage you to Stop. Check. Protect. If you are unsure about a phone call hang up immediately and call us directly. Never click on links in unexpected text messages.

We will never ask for your password, PIN or One-Time Password to be disclosed via a link within an email message, over the phone or in text message.

We take the protection and security of your information, transaction data and privacy seriously.
Choose passwords that are easily remembered but do not use your date of birth, phone number, name/s or anything that can be easily guessed.
Change your passwords regularly and make them at least 12 or more characters, with a combination of letters, numbers and special characters.
Do not disclosure your banking details or passwords to anyone even your partner or family members.
